With more than 1000 participants, Better Buildings by Design Conference 2008 was a
tremendous success. The 2009 conference will build on our ten previous events,
featuring more interactive opportunities, practical information, and the latest trends
and technologies in the industry.

Architects, builders, contractors, designers, developers, electricians, and engineers will
attend. Interact with decision makers for commercial and residential construction
and renovation projects throughout the Northeast.

Keynote Address $1,500
Fernando Pagés Ruiz, renowned builder, developer, and author, will address the conference's most attended event. This is a tremendous opportunity for sponsors to be recognized in front of the entire conference. Please contact Efficiency Vermont

Evening Reception $950
Company names and logos will be prominently displayed on a sign during the
reception.

Lunch $750 per day
Company names and logos will be prominently displayed on a sign at the buffet.

Continental Breakfast $700 per day
Company names and logos will be prominently displayed on a sign at the buffet.

Refreshment Break $500 per break
Company names and logos will be prominently displayed on a sign during the break.
Two refreshment breaks are offered each day.

Track Sponsor $2,000
Exclusive sponsorships are available for the Lighting, Mechanical Systems, Building
Envelope, or Innovative and High Performance tracks. Company logos will be
prominently displayed on the room door signs, conference brochure, and
presentation screen saver. Track sponsors will also receive verbal recognition at
each session.

EXHIBITOR CRITERIA

Attendees look to the Better Buildings by Design Conference as their source for the
latest innovations in energy efficiency, superior building performance, and indoor air
quality. We seek exhibitors who will provide products and services to meet this need,
and we will select applicants for exhibit space to maintain this standard.

ENERGY STAR® Products
Any appliances, refrigerators, clothes washers, or dishwashers displayed must be
ENERGY STAR qualified.

Heating/Cooling Equipment
Residential space heating and cooling equipment must be ENERGY STAR qualified
or must conform to ENERGY STAR efficiency specifications. Woodstoves and
fireplaces displayed must be equipped to receive combustion supply air ducting.
Unvented combustion space heaters may not be displayed. Commercial heating and
cooling equipment must be ENERGY STAR qualified or qualify for Efficiency
Vermont rebates. For more information on qualifying heating and cooling equipment,

Lighting
Although literature may be made available to attendees covering a manufacturer's or
supplier's full line of products, display of lighting products at the exhibition must be
limited to products promoting low energy use. Efficiency Vermont encourages the
display of new energy-efficient technologies, ENERGY STAR hardwired fixtures,
and products that qualify for Efficiency Vermont rebates. For more information on

Residential Ventilation Systems
Products on display must be energy efficient, controlled ventilation systems.
Efficiency Vermont encourages the display of innovative systems that meet the
Vermont ENERGY STAR Homes criteria such as heat/energy recovery ventilation
systems, ENERGY STAR qualified bath fans, in-line exhaust fans, and 24-hour
programmable controls.

Windows & Doors
High-Performance triple-pane windows and insulated doors are preferred. Windows
and doors must display an NFRC rating sticker. Display windows must be rated
U-factor .35 or below, and skylights rated U-value .45 or below.
